DCEU: Amber Heard Wants Mera And Wonder Woman Spin-Off

With how things are looking with their respective movies, why not?.

The upcoming Aquaman film has a lot riding on its shoulders but it looks like its going to deliver based on early reactions for the film. The film looks like it could turn the DCEU around considering that most of its films have been met with mixed to negative critical reception. The only film that could be considered good would be Wonder Woman but perhaps this next one would change that perhaps even bringing the Gal Gadot flick into the mix in the future.

The Aquaman flick would star Jason Momoa as the titular character alongside other notable names like Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Patrick Wilson as King Orm, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta among others. Oh! and Julie Andrews is there somewhere too. Amber Heard’s Mera looks like she’s going to shine bright in the film and it looks like she has further plans for her character aligning them with another popular female DCEU figure.

Speaking to THR, Heard discussed the prospect of doing a spin-off with Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman. She said:

“I’d love to team up with Wonder Woman. That would be a kickass duo right there. I’m vying for a spinoff, you heard it here. I’m fishing for whatever I’m fishing for. … Mera and Wonder Woman spinoff. Go for it, Warner Bros,

Sounds like a neat idea Amber cause why the hell not? Wonder Woman was good and Aquaman looks like it’s going to be good too. With Wonder Woman 1984 coming out in 2020, we can see where the DCEU goes with these two characters.
