Netflix’s upcoming The Witcher series looks like it’s moving forward pretty steadily with a well-rounded cast attached to it. Based off the fantasy book series by Polish author Andrezj Sapkowski which was made more popular with the acclaimed video game series, the upcoming television series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Geralt, a Witcher goes through his days using his unique abilities and talents to slay monsters and creatures alike. He is joined by a rag-tag group of allies as they embark on other quests and all that fantasy crap.
Those rag-tag group of allies consists of a whole bunch of names that would be sometimes difficult to pronounce but three main characters that will be involved in the series would be Yennefer, Ciri and Triss Merigold. We know that Anya Chalotra will be playing Yennefer and that Freya Allan will be playing Ciri but now, we know who will be playing Triss.
Netflix Poland posted a list of the cast of The Witcher series on Twitter including the role of Triss who will be played by Anna Shaffer. Shaffer isn’t very popular but she would be familiar to fans of another acclaimed fantasy series (in film that is), the Harry Potter series. She played Romilda Vane who slipped love potions into Harry’s chocolate which Ron ate in the end in The Half Blood Prince. She has also appeared on other shows such as the British soap opera Hollyoaks and the Doctor Who spin-off Class. The rest of the cast include:

So far things are looking to be moving forward pretty nicely for this series which will be under the helm of Lauren S. Hissrich who produced shows like Daredevil and The Defenders. We saw a first look of Henry Cavill as Geralt yesterday which does reveal that the show is making some decent development. For now, we can only hope The Witcher series delivers something good for fans and general audiences.
