It’s safe to say that Avengers: infinity War has definitely stamped its place in modern day popular culture much like many of the other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It looks like other figures of popular culture are also recognizing the popularity of the film and have referenced the events of the film. A recent one would be Youtuber, KSI who has paid a little homage to the actions of Thanos in Infinity War.
KSI’s “On Point” music video is a Logan Paul diss track (we know cause it says so on the video) and features Logan Paul basically hiding from KSI as he attempts to f–k him up. In case some are unaware, KSI and Paul are set to compete in an amateur boxing match and theses guys have been going at one another for some time and it’s been both f–king stupid and funny.
The video has Paul hiding in a mansion as he is haunted by KSI and aspects of his pas. The video also features some pop culture references performed by KSI. Two seem to pop out including one of Stanley Kubrick’s horror classic The Shinning in which KSI hacks through a door with an axe and goes “Hello Motherf–ker” a little reference to Jack Nicholson’s iconic line. The other being the more recent Infinity War which saw KSI don the Infinity Gauntlet and does his own rendition of Thanos’ snap (with his crotch this time) seeing Paul disintegrate.
Maverick! Dab on them haters! It’s Everyday Bro! Oh wait, that’s the other idiot. I’m not a fan of either KSI or Paul but I gotta admit, it’s not bad. Considering the bulls–t Paul and his idiot brother puts out, this is actually pretty aite and the weird sinister undertone really sets itself apart from a lot of the bulls–t on Youtube. I honestly can’t wait for the boxing match cause it looks like it could be damn funny. Maybe if we’re lucky, Paul might actually be disintegrated…. Kidding, maybe just in a coma…. kidding again, maybe his spirit will be crushed.
