It’s been nearly 2 months since the release of Avengers: Infinity War yet the title for the Untitled Avengers 4 film is still unknown. Set to be wrap up the story arc of many films that came before it along with being a continuation to the events of Infinity War, it’s a wonder why this title is taking some time to be revealed. The films were shot back-to-back and much secrecy has surrounded both films. It seems that Marvel Studios will be maintaining that secrecy still in regards to the title of the next Avengers for some time as it’ll be a while since the title will be revealed.
President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige spoke to Collider at the recent press day for Ant-Man and the Wasp. He was asked on when audiences will finally learn the title of the next Avengers film and it looks like we’re going to have to wait. Feige said:
“That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title. It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”
We’re going to have to wait to see some footage from Captain Marvel before anything. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is set for a March 8, 2019 release, nearly two months from the Avengers 4 release on May 3, 2019. It’s likely the title for Avengers 4 will be revealed along with its teaser and perhaps there’s even a chance of it being mentioned in Captain Marvel’s teaser but that’s just speculation.
It does look like Marvel will be focusing on Captain Marvel for now and focusing on getting the marketing right for that film and its teaser will likely drop around September or October, considering the trailer for Infinity War was dropped in late November last year. At this point however, even if the Untitled Avengers 4 film is called: Untitled Avengers 4 film, fans and audiences would still be rushing to the cinemas to see Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on screen.
