Fyre Fest Producer Andy King Responds To Viral Blowjob Memes

Andy King became a meme for his shocking admission in Netflix’s Fyre Festival documentary.

It’s no secret that Fyre Festival was an absolute disaster. And while everyone has been left reeling on the partygoers’ behalf after watching Netflix’s new documentary on the bungled event, there was one hilarious part that people just can’t forget. At this stage, we all know Andy King from Fyre: the Greatest Party that Never Happened as the man who was willing to do pretty much whatever it took to save the festival from turning into the headache it inevitably became.

During the documentary, Andy shared what festival organiser Billy McFarland said to him when the Bahamian customs decided they weren’t going to release the water supply to them unless they paid up. “You’re our wonderful gay leader and we need you to go down [to customs]. Will you suck d*** to fix this water problem?” Andy claims Billy said to him.

Andy said he went home, took a shower and was fully willing to take one for the team just to save the festival. Thankfully, it never came to that and Andy didn’t have to go through with it. However, his anecdote has since been turned into a plethora of memes on the internet.

Now, Andy King is opening up with his reaction that viral fame. In a new video shared by Netflix, he described being “blown away” by the response to the film. “Completely blown away,” he said. “I’m now a noun, a verb, an adjective. It’s mind-boggling,” he said, adding, “I just don’t want to be necessarily known as the blowjob king of the world.”

He called the experience especially wild for him because he’s never really been on social media. “Someone reached out last weekend and said, ‘you’re trending.’ And I’m like — I don’t even know what trending means.” King, for his part, was totally unfamiliar with the concept of a “meme” — nor even how to pronounce it.

A modern day hero he is.
