Both Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Chris Hemsworth are gigantic names in Hollywood. Thanks to his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hemsworth’s name is pretty damn bankable. The Rock is a bloody character of his own and everything he does is a pretty big deal but it’s safe to say that his role as Luke Hobbs in the Fast and Furious series is likely his most popular. You gotta wonder how it would be if we see Luke Hobbs and Thor go face-to-face in a battle… actually, you don’t have to wonder cause Thor would destroy the dude cause he’s a friggin god!!! But The Rock seems to like that idea.
In NBC’s The Titan Games, a show created and hosted by Johnson himself, the actor challenged his buddy Hemsworth to a showdown between Hemsworth’s Thor and Johnson’s Hobbs. He said while holding a hammer in the show, “I know why my buddy Chris Hemsworth likes putting on that Thor costume. I mean, there’s real power in wielding a hammer like this. I got an idea, guys: how about we make a Thor and Fast & Furious movie, you guys want to do that?” asking the audience as they cheer. Check out the full clip below shared by Johnson on Twitter:

He further elaborates, getting the crowd all hyped up, saying, “where the God of Thunder, Thor himself, he comes flying in and then wham! He gets stopped by the real God of Thunder,” Johnson pitched as he flexed his guns. “Box office gold, hashtag #ThorHitsTheFloor. You’re welcome, Chris. He’s gonna text me later.”
Johnson and Hemsworth are buddies much like many of the Hollywood elite so yeah, this might happen. Who am I kidding? That would make zero sense, Hobbs is a bloody mortal no matter how much baby oil he carries and well, they’re in different universes for god’s sake. However, it does open the possibility of seeing both stars on screen together in an action film so there’s some hope there.
