Aquaman Passes Venom, Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at Global Box Office

The film has definitely resonated with audiences despite a lukewarm critical reception.

This adds to the film’s long list of milestones after it recently helped Warner Bros. achieve its highest box office numbers ever in 2018.

Aquaman, the first standalone effort featuring the character and starring Jason Momoa in the title role, has made tidal waves at the box office thus far, recently passing 2017’s Wonder Woman to become the second highest DC Extended Universe film released to date. DCEU films aside, Aquaman has also passed other notable box office hits, beating surprise success stories like Venom at the domestic box office.
