Everybody is waiting on the last installment of Bad Boys and today, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s co-stars have finally been announced.
Variety reports that Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, and Charles Melton will be newcomers to the popular franchise, with the latest installment involving a new threat emerges in Miami. According to Variety, Ludwig, Hudgens, and Melton are part of “a modern, highly specialized police unit” that collides with the old-school ways of Mike and Marcus. Sources say the Bad Boys team has yet to pick its villain.
The upcoming sequel marks the third installment in the Bad Boys franchise, following 2003’s Bad Boys II. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have signed on to direct the project based on a script by Peter Craig with rewrites by Joe Carnahan. Smith will produce the film alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrad. Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson, Chad Oman, and James Lassiter have signed on as executive producers.
Last month, The Fresh Prince confirmed the production of the third chapter of the film franchise. Martin doubled the excitement by confirming the blockbuster franchise would officially go back into production.
Filming on Bad Boys 4 Life is set to begin next month for a January 17, 2020 release date.
