The upcoming Hobbs and Shaw spin-off to the Fast and Furious franchise could interestingly be a pretty fun time at the cinemas. Much like long-running franchise itself, the film wouldn’t likely be high art but we can expect some pretty cool stuff from director David Leitch (Deadpool 2) along with its stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby and Eiza González.
In case you don’t follow the Fast and Furious franchise, the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off would center around Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw played by Johnson and Statham respectively as they… do something. It’s a Fast and Furious spin-off, nobody is coming here for a compelling narrative after all. The film started production in September and we’re getting more information in regards to the characters including the roles played by Vanessa Kirby and Idris Elba. Now, we’re getting a little more information on another character this time played by Eiza González (Baby Driver).
The Rock took to Instagram to reveal González’s character in the film along with hints of her role in the film’s story. Check it out below:
Madam M huh? Won’t lie, it sounds like a femme fatale character which is pretty fitting for these flicks but I could be wrong. With The Rock mentioning ‘her squad of bad ass female force multipliers’, we can assume that she’s part of an all-female squad. Madam M could also be one of the antagonist as well possibly working for Idris Elba’s character but whoever she is, it still sounds pretty cool. We can expect something really fun from Hobbs and Shaw especially with Leitch as director so let’s hope it delivers.
