Black Mirror is a pretty interesting show and by interesting, I mean, it’ll mess you up ten times more than any other show would. The sci-fi anthology series has seen acclaim throughout is run with plenty of twist, turns, and critique on the technological advancements present in our society. The series has been picked up for a fifth season but no premiere date is known for now. With each episode following different narratives and characters, the series has seen a notable number of familiar faces grace the screen with big names like Bryce Dallas Howard, Keri Russell and Jon Hamm. It looks like we can add another name to the list as Hannah Montana herself will be guest starring in an episode for season 5.
Miley Cyrus made an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show and confirmed her involvement in the upcoming fifth season of Black Mirror. According to THR, this reveal came when Cyrus was discussing the loss of her home in the recent Malibu wildfire. She mentioned that she was away from her home when the fire struck as she was in South Africa filming. There had been reports of her involvement in the new season and although she was careful to not actually say the name of the show, she said to Stern “If you guess it, then I will shake my head ‘yes,’ or ‘no,’“. From here, she confirmed her involvement with a head nod as she wasn’t entirely sure on how much she could reveal on the matter.
She didn’t reveal much on who or what she’ll be playing but she revealed that it is dynamic role that has a “lot of different sides” to the character. So, I guess we’ll be seeing THE OTHER SIDE of her…Anyway, she further discussed her experience, saying:
“There’s a lot of dimension to it, and actually it was while the devastation of Malibu was happening, and it was a really weird learning experience for me because I was so far from home and the show is already really dark, and it’s already kind of eerie when you’re there the whole time, but I learned a lot about myself, and I think I was able to use that and put that into it.”
We don’t really see Cyrus acting a lot lately or acting in something worthwhile that is as she has mostly focused herself in the music scene. It would be cool to see if she still has the charisma and bravado we saw in the critically acclaimed Hannah Montana.
