Netflix’s Marvel TV Shows Will Not Move To Disney Plus

Yeah, that’s looking to be the case.

With the recent cancellations of Netflix shows under the Marvel banner, questions and speculations are bound to arise in regards to said TV shows. With Iron Fist kicking things off and by kicking things off, I mean getting cancelled, things started to look kinda rocky. However, Iron Fist wasn’t very good to begin with but then Luke Cage was cancelled and that probably raised some questions. Then… just when you think things couldn’t get worse… F–king Daredevil! Marvel’s best show and probably one of Neftlix’s best shows got the axe recently.

With all these cancellations, you gotta think Marvel has a plan for all this right? We know that Disney is going to launch their new streaming service Disney+ next year so perhaps future seasons for these cancelled shows can make a place for themselves there. Well, it looks like that’s likely not going to happen.

Rolling Stone TV Critic Alan Sepinwall took to Twitter to discuss the idea of Marvel’s Netflix shows finding a home at Disney+. Their chances don’t look great…

Take into account that this isn’t an official statement but Sepinwall wouldn’t just make this stuff up. He also highlighted the difference between Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment along with some behind-the-scenes beef which led Disney to split both subsidiaries apart back in 2015.

Yeah, it doesn’t look like we’re gonna see Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daredevil in Disney+ anytime soon if at all. It makes sense though cause Disney is more family-friendly whereas these Marvel shows are well, a lot more mature and not as family friendly. Hey, at least we still have Jessica Jones and The Punisher… for now.
