There’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming James Wan directed Aquaman starring Jason Momoa. The DCEU has had mostly misses but their second solo film, Wonder Woman proved that the DCEU is capable of providing something great to the table and perhaps Aquaman can do the same. Starring the aforementioned Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe and Patrick Wilson, we saw a trailer for the film in San Diego Comic-Con a while back which really built hype for the film.
It’s New York Comic-Con’s turn to build on that and to kick it all off, we get a new poster for the film. Momoa who plays Arthur Curry AKA Aquaman (In case you didn’t know) posted a new poster for the film on Instagram with the caption “A bridge between two worlds. Something exciting is coming tomorrow Aloha j #Aquaman” and it looks pretty cool. Check it out below:
We see a look at his arm with comic book accurate colors holding a trident up as Curry is submerged beneath the surface of the water (I’m sure he’s fine). It doesn’t really reveal much but it could possibly tease an unveiling of a new trailer.
We’re going to see Aquaman in December and the DC still has more in store with the upcoming Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984 along with the DCEU separate Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix. There’s a lot riding on this film but things are looking up for DC.
Aquaman is scheduled to be released on December 21, 2018
