Chris Hemsworth And Tessa Thompson In Costume In Men In Black Set Video

Goofing off on set I see.

Believe it or not, there’s going to be a new Men in Black film but this time around with new leads. The Untitled Men in Black spin-off sees Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in leading roles becoming MIB agents based in London. The film will see Liam Neeson as the head of the UK branch and will also star Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani and Rafe Spall.

Directed by Straight Outta Compton and Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray, the film started production in July but plot details on the film is scarce but it will see the stars involved in a murder mystery that will take them around the globe. We still don’t have a lot of info on the film but we do have a little look at the set of the film with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson goofing off while waiting around.

Jarett Wieselman posted a video of the two on Twitter d–king about while waiting to start filming again. The video was first posted on Hemsworth’s Instagram story, revealing their costumes for the film. Check out the video below:

In the video, Hemsworth isn’t wearing his suit jacket cause it’s probably really hot in there but we do see Thompson in full attire. It’s hard to tell if this says anything about the characteristics of their roles in regards to Hemsworth being the goofy idiot and Thompson being the serious one but I sure as hell hope not. We saw this dynamic in the original Men in Black trilogy with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones but do we need to see this again?

It’s fun to see these two hanging out and having fun on set but if we’re going to have another comic relief juxtaposed with a no-nonsense type character, this film isn’t looking to deliver anything special. It’s not horrible by an means but it seems a bit hackneyed to keep doing this. Maybe I’m reading into this too much but hell, there’s still a long way to go and this film could be good and it’ll be nice to see these two together in a non Marvel film.
