Star Wars Episode 9 Set Photos Reveal A Jungle Setting

Looks pretty familiar.

With the divisive fan reception of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it looks like Episode IX is looking to take things back to basics. With J.J. Abrams back on board to helm the film, it looks like things may be much more familiar this time around… a bit too familiar. We don’t know much about plot details regarding the film but we know that shooting has commenced in Black Park, England and some set photos are indicating a return to familiar territory.

Making Star Wars has revealed some set photos of the film with a landscape that looks very much, hell most definitely like a jungle or forest. Sound familiar?

What can you expect, it’s J.J. Abrams? In case some are unaware, Abrams directed The Force Awakens, and even though we can all agree that it’s a good film, it draws a lot of similarities from the original Star Wars. Obviously, this new jungle setting is very much reminiscent of Endor from Return of the Jedi which was the final film in the original trilogy so one may wonder if Abrams will be offering up that same feel or hell, even a similar plot.

Return of the Jedi is a good film but one can argue that it’s the weakest in the original trilogy. The Ewoks had a lot to do with this and some may argue that these creatures really f–ked the film up. We don’t know if the Ewoks would be returning or we’d have something similar, but this may worry some fans. We’re just going to have to wait and see then.
