Man of Steel released way back in 2013 was the film to really set up the DC Extended Universe which it did so but unfortunately, not so well. Big budget franchises such as these tend to set up future installments or at least future plans for films in their well… films. Some of them are subtle, some are not so subtle, some of them are plain non-existent but fans are passionate and will dig up anything that could hint at the future of their favorite franchises.
Man of Steel didn’t really provide us the best Superman film but fans still picked it apart to determine what the future of the DCEU could hold. One scene in particular, sees Clark Kent on board a Kryptonian ship to find out the truth about his alien heritage. One particular aspect of the scene caught the attention of some fans, particularly an open pod that can be seen in the background. This suggests that Superman isn’t the only one who survived of Krypton and you know fans….
“It’s Supergirl, it’s Supergirl” cried the fan but alas it looks like that may not be the case. Comicbook.com reports that director Zack Snyder has dismissed this theory and it may have concocted a few new ones in the process. Snyder was asked by fans regarding the contents of the pod in the wake of reports pertaining to a Supergirl film being developed by Warner Bros. Vaguely Snyder said, “The open pod was something more,”. Funnel Ferry Butter Bar took to Twitter to reveal this:

Well, something else to decode I suppose unless it really is Supergirl and he wants fans to get off his back on that matter. Whoever it is, we can expect plenty of speculation to arise and it looks like it would really be something to look forward to in future DCEU films. With Aquaman, Shazam! and Wonder-Woman 1984 next in line, things are looking good for the DCEU.
