Holly Hunter Reveals How Working On Incredibles 2 Was Similar To Batman V Superman

The Incredibles 2 sees Holly Hunter return to the Pixar superhero franchise film.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had so many talented actors in it that have gone on to do great things. The most recent would be Holly Hunter, who lends her amazing voice talents to Elastigirl in Incredibles 2. Holly Hunter first jumped into the superhero movie genre as the voice of Helen Parr, a.k.a. Elastigirl, in 2004’s The Incredibles, and 14 years later, she finally reprised the character in Incredibles 2.

Aside from both following costumed characters, Batman v Superman and Incredibles don’t share much in common, but Hunter has noted one similarity in her experiences. During an interview with Vulture, promoting Incredibles 2, Hunter said that both movies gave her the script in pieces, though for very different reasons.

“With Batman v Superman, I had part of a script, a fragment, but that was under lock and key for all different reasons,” Hunter said. “Incredibles 2 wasn’t under lock and key, but that’s part of the methodology of constructing an animated movie: It’s made out of order in a way that a regular movie isn’t”.

This makes sense because of how pivotal Dawn of Justice was in the making of the DC Extended Universe. The film was oriented to launch the DCEU and all attempts to stop any leaks from coming out were taken. Hunter’s role in Dawn of Justice was also much smaller than her roles in either of the Incredibles films.

Incredibles 2 is now playing in theaters.
