Clark Gregg is back in the MCU in Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and has nothing but praise for his new co-star. Captain Marvel is currently in production and Agent Phil Coulson actor Clark Gregg was recently interviewed about his involvement in the project.
Captain Marvel will finally bring the fan-favorite character to the big screen with Academy Award winner Brie Larson in the lead role. With the film being set in the ’90s, the highly-anticipated project will also bring Agent Phil Coulson back to the movie side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gregg, during an interview with PeopleTV, discussed the upcoming Captain Marvel film and commended Larson for her portrayal of Carol Danvers.
Brie Larson is amazing. Amazing person, amazing actor and she’s killing this role. It’s an amazing cast. She’s amazing. Everyone knows she won an Oscar…and she’s really special.
This isn’t the first time that Larson and Gregg have worked together. The two starred in 2006’s big screen adaptation of Hoot when Larson was 15-years old. Gregg mentioned that it was nice to be able to work with her after not seeing her for so long.
We did a movie together when she was 15 called Hoot, and it was nice to see her again because I don’t know she was a kid in this movie when…I guess that was almost 15 years ago, and I’m so proud of her. What she’s done, she’s become one of I think our best actresses.
Captain Marvel is being hyped as the movie that will redefine the MCU and change the face of the comic book movie genre. Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is rumored to be a large factor of the MCU moving forward and her role in Avengers 4 is reportedly very important.
Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, it is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
