Warner Bros. Unveils New DCEU Banner?

A new banner has made its way online, which showcases some of the fan-favorite characters that have made their way into the DC Extended Universe.

Henry Cavill’s Superman and more characters from the DC Extended Universe unite in a brand new banner. Warner Bros. has released a cool DC Films banner on iTunes, featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman and the rest of the Justice League alongside Jared Leto’s Joker and Suicide Squad members Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). What’s interesting about the banner is that it includes Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman. Affleck has already confirmed that he’s done playing the Caped Crusader in the DC Extended Universe while Henry Cavill’s future as the Man of Steel has been in doubt for months now. It remains to be seen when or if he’ll play Superman again as he’s currently filming The Witcher for Netflix.

Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.

Harley Quinn - Suicide Squad

Meanwhile, the DC Extended Universe continues later this year with the release of Shazam! on April 5, 2019. Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is up next after that, hitting theatres on February 7, 2020, followed by Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theatres October 4, 2019.
