New Mutants: No Reshoots Have Been Scheduled Yet?

This doesn’t help alleviate our concerns.

The state of X-Men’s The New Mutants seems pretty damn uncertain to an infuriating degree. The horror comic book film has a trailer but damn, it’s been delayed too many times. Initially set for an April 2018 release, the film was pushed to a February 2019 release. Obviously, that didn’t happen cause it’s already March as the film was then pushed to an August 2019 release. Apparently, the film will be undergoing re-shoots but the funny thing is, we don’t know when.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, The New Mutants would be undergoing re-shoots in the future but no such re-shoot have been scheduled yet. Things seem to be in the hands of director Josh Boone according to sources but even that isn’t giving us much to work with.

Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) is also apparently working on an adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand so you gotta wonder if he has neglected The New Mutants. Some have speculated that the film would not be seeing a theatrical release but would instead be released on a streaming platform like Hulu or Disney+, the latter of which would presumably be the case after the Fox-Disney merger but hell, maybe the film would get a theatrical release at the end of the day.

Damn! The New Mutants may actually be shit. It’s a bold statement but things really aren’t looking good for the film. The film would likely be released eventually and it could honestly be good but damn, these reports do not help alleviate our concerns. Only one thing can fix this Fox, making it Rated-R.
