Pennywise the demented clown will return in It Chapter Two, and he’s apparently bringing one of, if not the bloodiest scene to ever appear in a horror movie. That’s according to one of its stars, Jessica Chastain.
Appearing as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chastain teased that It Chapter Two will include the bloodiest scene in a horror movie. When asked to share information on the upcoming follow-up, Chastain answered:
“I’m gonna say something and I think I’m gonna be in trouble but I’m gonna do it. It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film in a scene.”
You can watch what Chastain said in the video below.
With only a few months left before It: Chapter Two arrives in theatres, fans should expect promotions to pick up, as a teaser could arrive soon. And, with Chastain sharing details on a very bloody scene, it will be exciting to see if the film’s first teaser will be heavy on the gore, or if it will be saved for the theatrical release.

It Chapter Two adapts the second half of Stephen King’s It novel, picking up years after the events of the first film when the kids in The Losers’ Club return to their hometown as adults to finish off Pennywise. Chastain plays the adult version of Beverly Marsh, portrayed by Sophia Lillis in 2017’s It.
Joining Chastain in the adult cast are James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Andy Bean as Stan Uris, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon.
We’ll see just how bloody things get when It Chapter Two arrives in theatres on September 6th.
