A Quiet Place 2: John Kransinski To Direct With Emily Blunt Back

Let’s hope they deliver something special.

Last year’s A Quiet Place was a breath of fresh air for horror fans providing us with a horror film unlike any other we’ve seen in recent memory. Following a family in a post-apocalyptic landscape, as they attempt to elude a bunch of extra-terrestrial creatures that hunt by sound, the John Krasinski directed and starred film was a pretty big hit. We will be getting A Quiet Place 2 and it looks like we are getting him back along with his co-star and wife Emily Blunt.

Not too long ago, it was reported that Krasinski will be returning to write the script for the film. Although little is known about the sequel, the original’s ending opened the doors for further exploration on its post-apocalyptic landscape. We’ll know more moving forward but it looks like we’ll be seeing Krasinski and Blunt returning if this latest report is true.

According to Deadline, sources have indicated that Krasinski will be returning to direct A Quiet Place 2. Not only that, they have word that Blunt will be returning for the sequel and that it will begin production in July. The film is apparently scheduled to be released on May 15th 2020 as revealed by Krasinski on Twitter so they have plenty of time to get this project done nicely.

It’s unsure how much of Blunt we’ll be seeing in the film but based on how the film ended before, it looks like her role would be the primary focus in the film. Then again, it’s hard to say cause the kids could play just as big a role in the film as well. Some may be sceptical on the idea of a sequel but Krasinski did say that A Quiet Place 2 would not be like the Jaws and Aliens sequels so maybe this wouldn’t just be another monster movie. Let’s hope he’s right.
