Russo Brothers Would Have Loved To Include Wolverine In Infinity War

And so would we.

There are dozens of superheroes we would have liked to see join the ensemble of Avengers: Infinity War but directors of the upcoming sequel have chosen fan-favorite, Wolverine as their choice if they were to include anyone else in the already packed line-up of heroes.

The Russo brothers spoke with GamesRadar regarding the superhero they would’ve have wanted to use but were not able to. Joe responded with: “It would probably be Wolverine”, to which Anthony responded: “Yeah, maybe one day…”.

With the impending Fox and Disney sale that would eventually lead to Disney‘s acquisition of the X-Men and its related characters, this could likely happen. However, with the critically acclaimed Logan capping off the Wolverine saga (or not, as these statements could suggest otherwise), it’s a wonder if the character would be recast or built from the ground up ala Spider-Man Homecoming

It would be phenomenal to see the Wolverine interact with the characters of the MCU but having anyone other than Hugh Jackman would likely cause a riot. Logan ended the narrative of the iconic character beautifully to the point in which the Academy was compelled to nominate the film for Best Adapted Screenplay, a category that isn’t usually synonymous with superhero films.

Nonetheless, there is a myriad of characters aside from Wolverine from Fox’s current banner that would serve as powerful allies in the MCU. Even if Wolverine were to be a part of the MCU, it looks like a ground-up reboot would be the best option if despite the possibility of Marvel having to deal with angry fans banging at their door (in today’s term, that means angrily @-ing on Twitter).
