A Christopher McQuarrie Bond 25 Rumor Is Already Going Around

The film’s new director who was supposed to herald this new dawn, Danny Boyle, has dropped out of the movie over creative differences.

If a new rumor is to be believed Bond 25 makers are eyeing Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie to helm the next James Bond installment. Bond 25 currently remains without a director after Danny Boyle quit the project due to creative differences.

According to Variety’s Justin Kroll, McQuarrie’s name is already being considered to fill the directorial void for the Bond 25 gig. However, he has also cautioned fans to take the information with a hefty pinch of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet.

“Take this with a grain of salt but a name already being floated as a replacement is McQuarrie. This is just a rumor and has no clout behind it but is an obvious choice following FALLOUT. Not sure if he would be up for it since he has said he wants to do original material,” Kroll’s tweet read.

McQuarrie already has an experience of directing thrilling and fast-paced action movies like Rogue Nation and Fallout. So, it won’t come as a surprise if he indeed bags Bond 25, which will be the Bond franchise’s 25th installment.

Boyle’s exit from the project was announced on Twitter on Tuesday through the official James Bond brand’s Twitter account. Boyle was widely praised as the perfect choice for a new Bond film given his excellent repertoire of films and energetic direction. Losing him so close to the start of production is a massive setback and it’s going to be tough to find a director so quickly who can take on the mammoth task of shaping a movie about the world’s greatest spy.

Bond 25 is currently scheduled to release on October 25, 2019.
