In cinemas later this year is Illumination Entertainment’s take on the Dr Seuss story, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, entitled The Grinch. A new trailer for the Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures’ animated holiday feature is out. A new poster has also been revealed.
The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. Funny, heartwarming and visually stunning, it’s a universal story about the spirit of Christmas and the indomitable power of optimism.
Benedict Cumberbatch is taking on voicing duties for the title role, and the movie is being directed by Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier. Michael LeSieur has penned the screenplay. It is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri, Janet Healy and Scott Mosier, and executive produced by Audrey Geisel and Chris Renaud.
The Grinch hits theaters on November 9, just in time for the holiday season.
