Netflix’s Sex Education is one of the most entertaining and important TV series available to stream right now. The series follows a socially awkward high school virgin (who is yet to even masturbate), whose mom is ironically a sex therapist. Despite his lack of actual experience, he realises that he’s actually pretty good at giving sex and relationship advice. He teams up with a badass intelligent girl, Maeve and sets up an unofficial clinic in school to help his peers with their problems.
What’s great about the show is that it observes the goings-on through a non-judgmental lens. Sex Education is a celebration of youth, awkwardness and all. Not to mention, it’s one hell of a witty show made even better thanks to the highly charming cast.
Recently, Netflix India released a hilarious little video of Emma Mackey (who plays Maeve) and Ncuti Gatwa (who plays the lead’s gay best friend, Eric) answering some sex queries by fans. Perhaps the funniest question comes somewhere towards the end where a fan asks:
“I heard that any kind of acidic substances can prevent pregnancy. Can I pour some drops of lemon or orange juice in my girlfriend’s vagina after intercourse?”
