The upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse looks like it’s going to deliver another satisfying Spider-Man flick for fans and audiences alike. The animated film will follow Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) as Spider-Man as he meets Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) who is also Spider-Man from another dimension. Peter, who is older, trains Miles to become a better Spider-Man and they are met with a bunch of other Spidey related characters from other universes including Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man Noir. We saw an awesome trailer for the film a while back and now we’re treated to another trailer which provides a look on the characters we’re about to see on screen.
We see Spider-Gwen’s face who is, you guessed it, Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and she seems pretty rock ‘n’ roll. We’re also treated with a look at Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) and Aunt May (Lily Tomlin) along with Spider-Man Noir who’s voiced by the one and only Nicolas Cage. We also got a look at Spider-Ham, an animal version of Spidey (yeah, I know) and also Peni Parker, a Japanese middle school girl who pilots a mech suit known as SP//dr. We also get a glimpse or at least what looks like a device that opened the gates for other Spideys to crossover to this universe.
The trailer is hilarious and filled with plenty of fantastic visuals that will no doubt be pretty awesome to witness when the film hits cinemas this December. December looks like it may be a pretty good month on top of Oscar season flare with comic book flicks such as this and much anticipated Aquaman. This Spider-Man doesn’t just look like it’s going to be entertaining, it looks like it’s going to offer a unique take to the big screen with plenty of interesting ground to explore.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is scheduled to be released on December 14, 2018
